Mario Delgadonational president of Morena, He denied that there had been “arrangements in the dark” with the senator of PAN, Miguel Angel Yunes Marquez, to vote in favor of the reform of the judiciary
In an interview with the media outside the National Palace, prior to his meeting with President López Obrador and President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, as well as with members of the CNTE, the next Secretary of Education affirmed that Morena welcomes all those who want to join the so-called fourth transformation.
However, the Morena leader pointed out that Yunes Márquez has not expressed his desire to join Morena, and that he even said yesterday that he belongs to National Action.

“Mario, from your point of view, was there pressure on the Yunes?” he was asked.
“No, we at Morena never make secret arrangements, here we are a party-movement. We welcome all those who want to join the Fourth Transformation project.
“Senator Yunes said: ‘I agree with this initiative’ and that is why he voted in favor. He is still a member of the National Action Party, but he agrees with the reform that our president has proposed,” he replied.

“Mario, then you as the majority party would accept it?” he was further questioned.
“He has not expressed his desire to be a member of Morena, just yesterday he said he belongs to National Action,” he said.
The Morena leader congratulated the senators for the approval of this reform, which he described as “historic,” as he pointed out that this reform will be the route to having a Judicial Branch that is in charge of justice for all, without distinction, not only for those who have the resources to pay a lawyer, but that there is justice for the people.
“The senators fulfilled the mandate that was given to us at the polls, by the people. That is why we were elected, they were elected, with very clear proposals, the reforms of the President of the Republic, plus the reforms that our President-elect will send.
“So, we are very happy, now it goes to the state congresses. Oaxaca has already approved it, we are sure that before September we will have this reform approved,” he said.
“That’s the issue. 17 states for it to be approved…” he was asked.
“17, there we modestly won the majority in 27 state congresses on June 2. That is, the people gave us the majority in the Constituent Power, which is the majority in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate and the state Congresses.”
Mario Delgado rejected the idea that the judicial reform will eliminate the separation of powers, but on the contrary, “the separation of powers will be reinforced, because now there will be a Judicial Branch that is in charge of justice and that is at the service of the people. Before, it was at the service of a few.”
