After four games without a win, the Lorient have resumed their march forward against a submerged Niortese team from the start. It’s a festival of goals and chances that the Bretons have offered to their audience and it is bound to be good for confidence. A success that allows Lorient to regain the lead in Ligue 2.
The Lorient were expected at the turn. After their two draws against Ajaccio and at Le Havre and especially their two defeats on the smallest of margins against Troyes and at Lens, they had let their little mattress melt away to leave their place of leader and find themselves, before this match against Niort , at 4e square. Pelissier had decided for this meeting to reconnect with his 4-2-3-1 which had borne fruit since the start of the season and put aside his final times to associate Hamel and Bozok on the attacking front. Added to his very beautiful vision of the game, the unceasing activity of Laurienté on the right side, it is the whole attack which was boosted and rewarded on the bulletin board, which could have been even more consequent at the break because Laurienté (19 ‘), Marveaux (20’), again they missed the frame closely. The second half was necessarily less intense but Lorient sought to offer the game with several opportunities at stake.
