The group “Janis Bukums” and “X Factor” Reinis Liepa publishes a joint song / Article / LSM.lv

The group “Jānis Bukums” in cooperation with the singer of “X Factor” Reini Liepa has published a joint song “Greks Complaint No. 2 ”, informs the representatives of the musicians.

Musician Jānis Bukums says: “We were familiar with Reini Liepa long before the“ X Factor ”. I was thinking of rearranging one song from the band’s first album in a duet with a singer, and coincided that Reinis was the one who liked the song very much in terms of character and image. The song touches on a number of difficult and painful themes, and in part our life stories coincide – it is our common confession, so Reinis was able to put the appropriate emotions and attitudes into his words. ”

The song also includes a lyric video created by the multi-artist Erik Saxon.

The band continues to work on their fourth album, The Wizard of the Seventh. The album is expected to include at least eight new, previously unheard songs, and some of them have already been recorded in collaboration with Kārlis Šteinmanis in his studio “KS Records – Unity Audio”. The album is expected to be released by the end of 2020.

This album will also be introduced by several forerunners – singles and music videos. “The Covid-19 crisis postponed our plans for several months, but we will also release several music videos before the album is released. The new guitarist Gunārs Orlovskis also introduces fresh winds to the band’s sound, and now I can say that the sound of the new songs will be more jumpy and challenging – this time it has evolved in a new direction, ”notes Bukums.
