the German Yannick Hanfmann is the first …

Gstaad finalist Yannick Hanfmann (28, ATP 143) is the first winner after the interruption of tennis competitions following the Coronavirus crisis.

Hanfmann won 4-0 4-1 in a tournament in Höhr-Grenzhausen (Rhineland-Palatinate) against compatriot Johannes Härt. For his part, Dustin Brown won two singles. Hanfmann and Brown are the two best-known professionals in this four-day tournament.

The matches were broadcast on different streaming channels. Besides the two players, there was only one referee on the field. However, no linesman and ball collector was present. The organizers wanted to make matches between professionals possible. Other “wild” tournaments are planned in the coming days.
