The Football Association: The cost of completing the season is 82 million pounds

Gamal Mohamed Ali, Vice President of the Football Association, stated that the cost of completing the current season 2019-2020 will reach 82 million pounds, saying that the final decision regarding the completion of whether or not it will be after the holiday.

Gamal Mohamed Ali said in his statements to the channel “On Time Sports”: “There are 150 matches left in the Premier League, and the second section is 90 games left, and in the Egypt Cup there are matches starting from the round of 16, eight, semi-final and final, and all competitions and divisions are left 375 games. “

He continued: “The Premier League clubs announce their opinions according to their circumstances or demands, but we, like the Football Association and the Ministry of Youth Sports, have two things, both of which have gone through either return or cancellation, and we do not focus on the interests of personal clubs.”

He added: “The Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Health will set a set of standards, and the Ministry of Health has the main role in determining the required standards in accordance with the current health patrols and different regulations issued.”

He added: “The completion of the season means the necessity of holding the 375 games in full, and in the current circumstances we will not be able to play the game at the 18 stadiums, because this means greater moves and a source of greater danger.”

He explained the cost of holding matches: “We need closed camps for a period of 80 days in order to complete the league, while protecting the players and cleansing and health follow-up. Each club will cost 50 individuals and each has a single room, and this will cost the 18 clubs 72 million pounds, meaning each club 4 million.”

He added: “Arbitration will cost 2 million and a quarter in order to complete the league, in addition to the rental of stadiums, and the smears required in order to test all players, which will cost one million and 800 thousand pounds, and all of this will reach the final cost to 82 million pounds.”

As for the date for resolving the position regarding the completion of the season: “After the Eid, we will know the criteria for the return of the activity set by the Ministry of Health, and in light of this we will take the decision.”

And he added: “We have to study matters related to the hypothesis of a player being infected with Corona, and how to deal with the rest of the team, in addition to identifying the possibility of applying the same standards at lower levels of excellent.”

He concluded, “We will make calculations related to the winnings of clubs if the league continues, losses in the case of cancellation and all of this will be a reason for our final decision.”
