Spotify presents Soundtrack Your Workout, a new way to create a personalized playlist

In France, sports halls have been gradually reopening since the end of deconfinement. However, if you still haven’t returned to the gym, you can easily continue training from home, in a park, wherever you want, but still with Spotify. The giant of audio streaming continues to motivate you on all occasions thanks to its new invention: Soundtrack Your Workout.

This advanced playlist asks you to answer a few questions in order to obtain a selection that perfectly matches the workout you are starting. First you must indicate how long you plan to keep the effort going, then if you prefer to listen to music, podcasts, or both. Once you have made these first choices, the questionnaire is not yet finished, you must say more about the type of session you are about to start, but also if it is a solo session, as a duo, in a group, with your pet, etc. To further refine the playlist, you must also indicate the state of mind in which you are, rather Zen, or on the contrary motivated to move.

A playlist for each type of training

Finally, all you have to do is choose your musical tastes, your type of podcasts, then name your playlist and possibly add a thumbnail. Once Soundtrack Your Workout is started, you can start training. Obviously, you can create this type of playlist for lots of sports activities. In the future, I hope that Spotify will offer this type of service in other situations. It would be interesting to be able to configure a playlist like this for work sessions, or even for journeys by car, by public transport, and in many other contexts.

Soundtrack Your Workout was born out of a simple observation, in the last two months more than a million training-oriented playlists have been created. Thanks to this new feature, you no longer have to update your playlist since it will do so automatically.
