Freiburg (AP) – After his opening goal on Friday evening at SC Freiburg, Kai Havertz is now the first Bundesliga player under the age of 21 with 35 goals. With his goal to make it 1-0 in the 54th minute, the 20-year-old from Bayer 04 Leverkusen set a new record in the Black Forest Stadium. So far, Dieter Müller had held the best value for the 35-goal mark at just over 21 years. In addition, Havertz has now scored as many Bundesliga goals for Leverkusen as ex-international Bernd Schneider.
