The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, called the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor to the enterprises of the spa sector unfeasible and asked the government to soften the rules for receiving vacationers.
“Crimea appealed to the Government of the Russian Federation with a request to exclude several requirements that are contained in the recommendations of the Rospotrebnadzor on the operation of the sanatorium complex during a pandemic. We understand that these requirements are not feasible for most spa organizations, ”Aksenov wrote on Facebook.
In particular, he called the coronavirus mandatory testing for all employees of tourist enterprises and tourists themselves extremely burdensome, as well as the order that a resort facility, for example a hotel where infected people were identified, immediately turns into an observatory.
Among the impossible was the requirement to maintain social distance on the beaches. “We are well aware that no one will be able to fulfill this obligation, and we ask that this requirement for spa facilities be excluded,” Aksyonov explained.
At the same time, the head of Crimea promised that the rest of the requirements for sanitary safety and hospitalization of patients will be strictly observed.
Recall, more recently, Sergei Aksyonov himself actively scared away Russians who wanted to relax on the peninsula with promises to force quarantine visitors to the observatory, and at their own expense. If a person does not have money to pay for his stay with the observatory, then he will be obliged to do this through the court.
In early May, Aksyonov said that the region most likely would not be ready to accept tourists from other regions at the beginning of the holiday season.
At the moment, only 509 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected on the Crimean peninsula, despite the fact that in Russia as a whole, in terms of a million people, there are many times more infected.
