Ridwan Kamil Reveals Two New Corona Clusters in West Java

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Head of Covid-19 West Java (West Java) Coordination Task Force, Ridwan Kamil says there are two new clusters corona virus in the West.

“Industrial Areas, we are doing massive tracing,” Ridwan Kamil said in a press statement at the West Java Police Headquarters, Tuesday (7/7).

The industrial cluster, said Ridwan Kamil, referred to the massive corona positive case at PT Unilever Indonesia in Bekasi Regency. Tracking, continued Emil, carried out to the residence of the employees, both rented to boarding.

“Because of that, we do tracing and tracking to them. “It has been controlled in terms of distribution,” said Emil.

In addition to the industrial sector, Emil said that there were a number of state education institutions that became new clusters in the spread of Covid-19. This cluster is in the greater Bandung area.

“The second cluster is in the state education institution in the greater Bandung. Not one, there are several. It has also been conditioned and today until next week we will conduct a PCR test on his family,” he said.

Although he did not elaborate on the institution in question, Emil said that the possibility of the spread of Covid-19 was trying to be tempered by aggressive tracking. For one person who is positive Covid-19, it will do a minimum tracking to 1-4 family members.

“We test his closest family or contact history to make sure that it can be controlled,” he said.

With the discovery of the two new clusters, Emil will increase the awareness of the boarding area both in education and workers’ places by testing and tracking.

Previously, continued Emil, there were already some places that were considered the most vulnerable in the distribution such as tourist attractions, terminals, stations and traditional markets.

On the occasion, Emil said that the Covid-19 reproduction rate in West Java currently rose to 0.91. This increase occurred due to the transition of proportional social restrictions to the New Habit Adaptation (IMR) in West Java.

Emil emphasized that AKB does not mean that all things can be done as usual in normal times before the Covid-19 pandemic. All health protocols should be able to run in order to break the chain of virus spread.

“We will speed up testing with a target PCR of 10-15 thousand per week,” Emil said.
