relive the trials of the meeting of the Six Nations Tournament

The France team won against tough Scots on Sunday at the Stade de France (32-21).

The Blues suffered, but won an improved success against Scotland, Sunday February 26 in Saint-Denis (32-21). They scored four tries and suffered three, against a formidable XV du Chardon until the end.

5th: Ntamack concludes a long sequence

Hard to hurt after a touchdown launch close to the 22 opponents, the Blues impose their pace on the Scottish defenders. They organize themselves, link playing times and move forward methodically, until they create a gap on the closed side. Antoine Dupont sees it and shifts Romain Ntamack, who only has to flatten. It is transformed by Thomas Ramos (7-0).

8th: Dumortier doubles the bet

The Blues recover the leather in the 22 opponents, on a ruck. Faced with Scots freshly reduced to fourteen, they move the game on the outside. Gaël Fickou fixes and shifts Romain Ntamack, who sends Ethan Dumortier to the test at the end of the line. Thomas Ramos misses the conversion (12-0).

The French team immediately took advantage of their numerical superiority to score a second try in the first 10 minutes of this third match with the Lyonnais Ethan Dumortier, at the end of the line, on a service from Romain Ntamack.

20th: Russell for the worse…

The Scots are back in working order after the expulsion of Mohamed Haouas. Flyhalf Finn Russell distributes the game and tries to dismiss on the wing of Duhan Van der Merwe, but his tense pass is perfectly read by Thomas Ramos. The French back intercepts at the middle line and knocks out the XV du Chardon. He himself transforms his test (19-0).

The Blues live a first act splendor with a 3 test scored, this time by Thomas Ramos, who felt the blow on a skipped pass from Finn Russell in the camp of the XV du Coq. The Blues lead 19-0 after the conversion.

25th: … and the best

A few minutes after his blunder, the Scottish opener shows that he remains an outstanding facilitator. While his men stumble in front of the French line, Finn Russell invents a pass with a luminous line, at the limit of the forward, for his center Huw Jones, who only has to take the interval and convert the ‘offering. Russell converts (19-7).

Scotland did not say its last word in this match with a try signed Huw Jones on a game launch after a touch in the 22 meters of the Blues. The forward pass possible between Russell and Jones is not reviewed. The Blues only lead 19-7.

47th: Jones doubles

The Scots put pressure on the Blues after returning from the locker room. They occupy the field and, after a dynamic sequence, break through in the 22 meters by Huw Jones. The three-quarters center is tackled by Antoine Dupont, but the XV du Chardon remains in the advance. A playing time later, Jones is staggered by his friend Sione Tuipulotu and flattens his second try. It’s transformed (22-14).

Scotland are still alive in this match with a quick second-half try from Huw Jones, again. The Thistle made a very good start to the second half (22-14) and revived this match a little more.

68th: Russell increases the pressure

The Blues are braced in front of their line and undergo many attacks. After many scrums won by the Scottish pack, Ali Price launches Finn Russell who dives behind the line and concretizes the domination of his team. He transforms his own test (25-21).

The match is more than ever revived with Scotland's third try in this duel with the Blues. After a big period of the Thistle and the advantages which are linked, the scrum exit is good for the players of Gregor Townsend, until the inevitable test of Finn Russell (25-21).

80th: Fickou rewards French panache

The Blues benefit from a penalty close to the Scottish line less than a minute from the siren. Rather than taking the points and ensuring victory, the French seek the offensive bonus and play quickly. Gaël Fickou took advantage of the disorganization of the opposing defenders to flatten and seal the success at five points for his team. Thomas Ramos converts (32-21).

While they push in the 22 meters of Scotland for long minutes to finally register the 4th try, synonymous with bonus, Gaël Fickou, elected player of the match, takes matters into his own hands and comes to force the opposing lock for a victory full (32-21).
