Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani mentioned will not fit in the cabinet Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming if elected as president and vice president.
Member of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) Expert Council, Drajad Wibowo, said there was no match between Sri Mulyani and Prabowo.
“But if I as an economist read and see, Pak Prabowo’s chemistry with Mba Ani (Sri Mulyani’s nickname) doesn’t work,” he said when talking to the media, Monday (19/2).
Even so, he said that the composition of the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet had not been decided because there had not been a meeting of political party heads. The formation of the cabinet, he said, would be carried out after the official announcement of the 2024 election results from the General Election Commission (KPU).
“Usually there will be discussions, now they often meet, Pak Prabowo, Pak Airlangga, Bang Zul (Zulkifli Hasan), and now there is Mas AHY (Agus Yudhoyono), right? There will definitely be discussions and arrangements on how many are political parties and how many are non-political parties. ,” he explained.
Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said he did not want to take part in discussing synchronizing the government with the next president.
Ani, his nickname, said he wanted to carry out his duties as finance minister. He handed this over to President Jokowi.
“Later, it will be Mr. President. I won’t, I’ll just take care of the APBN,” said Ani at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (19/3).
Even so, Ani admits that government synchronization is something that is unavoidable. According to him, there must be discussions between the Jokowi government and the next president.
In a meeting with Jokowi today, Sri Mulyani admitted that he received a number of directions. One of them is related to the leadership transition to a new president.
“Also get direction on how to navigate the current situation, especially in transition conditions so that it can run well,” he said.
However, he was reluctant to reveal details of Jokowi’s direction regarding the government transition.
