The official importer of MAN Truck & Bus SE in Latvia, SIA Avar Auto, has entered into a cooperation agreement with SIA Transporent, or more commonly known as Sixt Leasing, for the purchase of 19 new MAN TGE 3.140 4×4 trucks. The new vehicles are intended for full-service car rental for the next five years at SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš and have already been delivered to the company’s regional branches.

In accordance with the requirements of the technical specification, most of the delivered MAN TGE vans are equipped with an additional row of seats and a load compartment for service equipment intended for railway service crew trips.
The other vans, on the other hand, are “TGE” chassis with a double cab and cargo boxes, on which there are tent bodies for transporting various cargoes, equipment and tools.
The MAN TGE is all-wheel drive and powered by a two-liter diesel engine that develops 140 horsepower. All MAN TGEs are factory-fitted with towing devices, cruise control, leather heated multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning and other extras for drivers and passengers. Driver safety is ensured by MAN’s Emergency Braking Assist (EBA), crosswind assistant, hill assistant and other modern safety systems.
