Parts of Disney World in Florida reopened

After a 4-month break, at least some of the attractions in Orlando reopened on Saturday. In order to comply with visitor limits and distance rules, visitors had booked in advance. All tickets have already been sold for July, and two areas have started operating again, the so-called Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom. The futuristic Epcot theme park and Hollywood Studios film park should reopen on Wednesday. The entire Disney World is as big as the New York borough of Manhattan.

Disinfectant dispensers everywhere, but no mask requirement

To prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus, fever should be measured regularly among visitors. There is a mask requirement in the amusement park and there are disinfectant dispensers everywhere.

The United States is the most severely affected country by the corona pandemic. Around 3.2 million infections have been detected so far, and almost 135,000 infected people have died. The virus is currently spreading particularly in the southern and western states. Florida had more than 10,000 new infections on Saturday alone.
