Nintendo confirmed the problems with the production of the Nintendo Switch a few months ago, but fortunately everything has returned to normal and the corporation can now develop more copies of the device.
The information presented by Nintendo was disclosed by the heads of corporations at the last meeting with shareholders and only now has an accurate report published. This is important because Shuntaro Furukawa (president of Nintendo) and Ko Shiot (one of the executive directors) have spoken about the company’s next plans.
The event discussed the new generation console from Nintendo, but players are unlikely to expect a quick announcement of the equipment. Shuntaro Furukawa stressed that Big N wants to extend the life cycle of Nintendo Switch:
“Our current console, Nintendo Switch, is on the market for the fourth year, but its popularity is still growing. We think this is caused by two factors. First of all, we have two devices with different properties, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite. Secondly, we only have Nintendo Switch as a platform, so we can focus all our resources to prepare games for it. We want to make the most of these factors and extend the life cycle of the Nintendo Switch as long as we can “
Ko Shiota emphasized that Nintendo focuses on games, not parameters. Nintendo Switch allows you to enjoy the game on a TV or console screen and according to an employee of the Japanese corporation “customers have more opportunities to play.”
Of course, Nintendo does not say directly that it is not developing a new generation console, but we can hardly count on a quick announcement and putting the equipment on the market. Big N is still focused on the Nintendo Switch.
