New World – Game release delayed until spring 2021 – News

After the return of free-to-play Crucible in closed beta, Amazon Games announces another bad news. The MMO New World release date has been pushed back several months.

Indeed, it is following the returns of players who participated in the alpha of the game that the developers of the MMO New World have decided to postpone their production normally expected for next August 25 in the spring of 2021.

When we looked at the feedback from our alpha testers over the past few months, we realized that players liked our game and wanted more content. We would particularly like to make sure that our most involved players do not miss “middle game” and “end game” experiences during their adventures in Aeternum. We want players to have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in our game. In addition, we want them to have confidence in the quality of the work of our studio and the playability of New World in the long term. For this, we must take the time to reach the desired result before launching the game. Therefore, we decided to postpone our release date to spring 2021, which also means postponing the closed beta. Rest assured that this decision was not easy to make and that we want to give you access to the game as quickly and in the best conditions as possible, with the bonus of additional elements that will improve your experience. Following this news therefore, the developers have also chosen to postpone the closed beta of the game, normally expected for July 23, to a later date, without further details. However, in order to apologize for all these inconveniences, the team decided to offer to players who pre-ordered the game, participated in the alpha or being registered for beta, full access to the game for a limited time from Next August 25. Players fulfilling one of these conditions will receive their access by e-mail.
