The national door-to-door collection of the National MS Fund will take place from 16 to 21 November 2020.

The National MS Fund is looking hard for collectors in the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Do you help in the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS)?

MS is the most debilitating disease among young people. It is a disease of the central nervous system. Because something is wrong in the immune system, the layer around the nerves is attacked and damaged. As a result, signals to and from the brain do not (properly) come through, causing paralysis and failure symptoms. In the Netherlands, 17,000 people have MS and about 1,000 people are added each year. The first symptoms usually occur between the twentieth and fortieth year of life.

Research urgently needed

There is no solution for MS yet. Researchers don’t know how MS develops and how the disease can be cured. Research is therefore urgently needed. National MS Fund invests the proceeds from the MS collection in innovative research into MS.

Become a collector!

Will you help? The corona virus has a major impact, including on the National MS Fund. Fundraising events have been postponed or canceled due to the measures. As a result, the fund misses out on income. Unfortunately, MS does not stand still. Research into MS and the fight against MS must continue.

Become a collector and raise money for research into MS. Collecting is not difficult and only takes two hours of your time. And it’s fun too.
