NASA Makes New Discovery – La Nouvelle Tribune

The Moon, much more loaded with metal than expected? Indeed, according to a discovery made thanks to the Mini RF device (Miniature Radio Frequency), attached to the LRO, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, the surface of the Moon would be more loaded than what was previously believed. Such a discovery could push experts to review the history of the evolution of our satellite.

Current theory amounts to believing that the Moon was born following the collision between two space objects. However, following the recent discovery observed, this theory could be completely revised. Indeed, some experts believe that there is an increased presence of metalliferous materials on the Moon, especially in volcanic areas. The craters formed would be the places concerned because the larger they are, the more metals they contain. A relation size – presence of metal quite surprising in the eyes of Essam Heggy, researcher for the University of California.

The Moon, a story very difficult to tell

Recently interviewed, the latter confirmed that this discovery did not change the role of the Moon and human ambitions on it. However, this tends to question the way scientists have always imagined the formation of the Moon. New hypotheses must indeed be made on this subject. For the latter, by crashing into the surface of the Moon, the meteors have excavated the metals from below. By forming the craters, they beat the earth which turned over. Today, metalliferous materials would then be found several meters below the lunar rock.
