Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek club, said he had decided not to run in the upcoming Zamalek elections, but he backed down due to the threats he received.
Mortada Mansour said in statements to the Zamalek channel that he was subjected to family pressure to be satisfied with his offer, but he retreated.
The Zamalek president released a message that he said was from the phone of a Qatari intelligence man named Abu Sinaida bearing threats to force him to leave the White Presidency.
He defied the president of Zamalek, saying, “I want to come down before me, and I will win by 15,000 votes.”
Mansour revealed that the demand for participation in the new club’s branch in 6th of October City exceeded expectations.
Mansour said, “Only 800 memberships today, from the 3,000 available, will generate a quarter of a billion pounds in club income.”
