Moroccan People’s Bank and Huawei consolidate strategic partnership in Africa

The global giant in the telecoms and new information technology sector, Huawei and the People’s Central Bank Group in Morocco (BCP) signed an agreement on Thursday to consolidate their strategic cooperation across the African continent, reports the Moroccan press.

The memorandum of understanding, signed by Kamal Mokdad, director general of BCP, and Cao Jibin, president of Huawei North Africa affects the banking side and that of technological solutions, adds the same source.

The BCP group will thus provide multifaceted banking support to the activities of the Chinese technology giant in its countries of presence in Africa.

For its part, Huawei will support the efforts deployed by BCP in the field of new technologies, to accelerate the digitalization process already initiated by the bank and the development of new innovative financial solutions with high added value, on all customer segments.
