Microsoft fixed a number of Windows 10 issues in the new Insider Preview build

Today, participants in the Windows Insider program with quick access to test builds of the operating system received Windows 10 Insider Preview 19635. The new build does not carry any new features, but it fixes some known errors of previous versions. It is reported that this version of the operating system will be available to all users at the end of the year as Windows 10 20H2, which will be a minor update, as well as 19H2.

Reportedly, new features in Fast Ring builds will appear in June when testing of Windows 10 21H1 begins. As for the problems fixed in the new version of the OS, their list is presented below:

  • Fixed a problem with artifacts in the Camera application on some devices.
  • Fixed the problem of constant flashing of the display on some devices.
  • Fixed the problem of the periodic occurrence of the critical error “The program compatibility service has completed its work.”
  • Fixed a problem that could lead to crashes when changing the orientation and resolution of the screen.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the ability to use cellular data on some devices.

In addition, a number of less visible problems have been fixed.

There is still an uncorrected problem, due to which on some devices that use eMMC drives, an error occurs when exiting hibernation mode. As before, the process of installing new assemblies periodically “freezes” for a long time. There are also minor issues with the user interface.

Windows Insider Fast Ring members can get a new build through Windows Update.

If you notice an error, select it with the mouse and press CTRL + ENTER.
