The Minister of the Interior and Public Security, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, reacted following the lifting of the state of emergency which had been decreed, since March 23, to face the Covid-19.
“The President of the Republic asked, yesterday (Monday), in his message, the lifting of the state of emergency starting today at 11 pm. So we are in the process of making arrangements. We were in the process of taking flexibility measures, which we were doing gradually and we may consider that today we are practically in the final stage, ”he said on Rfm.
And to add: “We have most of the restrictive measures that we still have to do. Which will essentially be measures taken by administrative authorities, prefects, governors ”.
On the other hand, rallies, he said they had practically lifted restrictions on rallies.
“In this matter, each of us must know that we have a role to play. We cannot put the police behind every individual. But we will still continue to monitor, especially at the level of large gatherings, ”he stressed.
