The popularity of Kia Stinger was much lower than expected, so the second generation may not have a loss-making liftback. At least, Koreans still have not given the green light to the successor project of the model, as they doubt its market prospects. According to Karim Habib, the brand’s chief designer in an interview with Top Gear, one of the promising options could be the use of an electric power plant – perhaps Kia Stinger will have to become an electric car in order to survive. So the model will have at least some chances to stay in the market and bring profit to the concern.
