President Joko Widodo insinuating ministers who Work from Home (WFH) or working from home for the past three months is just like taking a vacation.
A number of ministries are known to implement WFH since the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I ask that we have sense of crisis the same one. Do not let three months ago we convey work from home, work from home“What I saw was like a leave of absence,” Jokowi said during a limited meeting on the July 7 budget absorption, the video of which was uploaded to the YouTube Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday (8/7).
Jokowi reminded ministers to work harder in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. He asked his staff not to work mediocre so that the Covid-19 problem could be immediately resolved.
“Don’t work just ordinary. Work harder, faster. That’s what I want when conditions like this,” he said.
The former Jakarta governor asked ministers to work quickly in deciding on a policy. He cited the formulation of Ministerial Regulations (Permen) and Government Regulations (PP) which can be abbreviated.
“Making a candy which is usually two weeks is finished in a day. Making a PP that is usually a month is completed in two days. That’s what I want,” Jokowi said.
Previous jokowi had also delivered a loud reprimand to his staff at a cabinet meeting on June 18. At that time, Jokowi expressed anger at his ministers because the handling of Covid-19 was considered not optimal.
Jokowi even threatened to make a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle to dissolve the institution.
“It could just dissolve the institution, it could be reshuffled, I have thought everywhere. I don’t know whether the Perpu is more important, if necessary,” Jokowi said in a video uploaded through the YouTube channel of the Presidential secretariat on Sunday (28/6).
Corona cases in Indonesia are still growing. Data as of July 8, the number of positive cases of corona virus (Covid-19) in Indonesia reached 68,079 cases as of Wednesday (8/7).
Of that number, as many as 31,585 people were declared cured and 3,359 others died.
“From the results of this examination, there was an increase in positive confirmation of 1,853 people, bringing the total cumulative to 68,079 people,” said Government Spokesperson for Handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto, yesterday.
