National Police Chief Idham Azis | joked when giving a speech in celebration 74th Bhayangkara Forest which was held virtually, at the Bareskrim Building at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday (1/7).
The four-star police general said he was not smart enough. Nevertheless, said Idham, he could still be the number one person in the National Police.
“I am a bit stupid to be the National Police Chief, only the National Police Chief is stupid, even if I am just stupid the National Police Chief, how can I be smart?
The Bhayangkara Anniversary celebration was attended by all members of the Regional Police and Police. In addition, in the same room as Idham there were also a number of key Polri Headquarters officials.
Initially, Idham told about the theme ‘Conducive Kamtibmas, Productive Society’ which was taken by his institution in celebrating his 74th birthday.
However, he said, the theme did not originate from Idham himself but rather the Police Human Resources Assistant. According to Idham, the theme is suitable with the work of the National Police in the future.
“This is indeed what we are working forward, we are working on, the fact is that our community partners really hope that assistance comes from the National Police, it’s history and indeed the facts are like that,” he said.

Furthermore, Idham told about the social assistance program conducted by the National Police. According to him, the program was ordered by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Meanwhile, said Idham, the technical compiler for the program was Deputy National Police Chief Commissioner General Gatot Eddy Pramono.
“I just declare the president’s order, yes I will do it.
On that occasion, Idham also apologized to the public if his staff had not met expectations in carrying out their duties. Even so, he felt he had done his best for the Bhayangkara Corps.
He also alluded to the community’s assessment of the National Police which could be considered good because it reached 82 percent. Idham said it would maintain the trust of the community.
“Because that’s our basic capital so we are loved by the community,” he said.
