A total of 239 experts in 32 countries made that claim Corona virus possibility of being transmitted by air or airborne. The World Health Organization recognizes the emergence of evidence, but it still needs further research.
“We have all discussed the possibility of airborne and aerosol transmissions as one method of transmitting COVID-19,” said WHO’s technical COVID-19 response leader, Maria Van Kerkhove, as quoted by Reuters on Thursday (07/09/2020).

The lung specialist from the Friendship Hospital, Dr. Budhi Antariksa, PhD, SpP (K), said that if the claim were true, there would be a change in our ways of protecting ourselves from Corona virus transmission.
“Maybe the mask will also be more protective, because if the airborne will be everywhere in the surrounding air and it can be inhaled and can enter through a mask that has a gap for the virus to enter,” explained Dr. Budhi in an online discussion on Thursday (9 / 7/2020).
Dr. Budhi also stressed, there needs to be a policy renewal from the government to prevent transmission Corona virus. One way is to disinfect the air more routinely.
“His policies are even more protective. Maybe from the regional government or the government he must carry out air disinfectants more frequently and that costs more. The impact is very complex,” he concluded.
