Gasoline and diesel prices continue to rise

Fuel prices in the Czech Republic have been rising since mid-May, in the past few weeks always by tens of pennies per liter. Previously, prices have been falling since mid-January. Gasoline and diesel are still five crowns cheaper than a year ago.

Gas stations for Natural 95 charge the most in Prague, averaging 28.57 crowns per liter. Above 28 crowns per liter, the average price is only in the Highlands.

On average, diesel also costs more than 28 crowns in the capital, the price of 28.36 crowns per liter is the only one among the regions above this limit.

In most regions, diesel prices remain below 27 crowns, with motorists paying the least in the Zlín Region, averaging 26.69 crowns per liter. In the Zlín Region, Natural 95 is also the cheapest, averaging 27.24 crowns per liter.

Oil prices rose on Wednesday despite reports of surprising growth in raw material stocks in the United States. North Sea Brent crude posted 0.6 percent to $ 43.35 a barrel around 6:30 p.m. The US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) light oil also rose 0.9 percent to $ 40.97 a barrel at the same time.
