Montreux and Vevey launch Dolce Riviera to infuse the “spirit” of Dolce Vita during the summer. Developed public space, improved access to water, commercial actions, itinerant and fixed stages for constrained programming.
The year passed on the same date, the Montreux quays experienced the traditional effervescence of the jazz festival, furnished with stands, stages and terraces ready to welcome, in the evening, the thousands of soles of spectators or onlookers. A health crisis later, the shores of Lake Geneva, Tuesday, were large enough and freed to let roll a bunch of cyclists in sprint. A first in the history of Montreux Jazz, prevented like all world festivals. But also an unprecedented case for all the tourism players, many of whom, on the Riviera, rely on the turbo effect of the MJF, guarantor of 50,000 to 60,000 hotel nights during its two weeks of activity.
