Gent –

There will be no criminal proceedings over the now widely spread divorce between Barbara Sarafian (52) and her ex-husband, Yves De Moor (49). Three judges attach little faith to the series of complaints that the actress filed against him at the time.

May 2015. During the Ensors, the presentation of the annual film prizes in Ostend, actress Barbara Sarafian is surprised on stage by a marriage proposal from the Ghent entrepreneur Yves De Moor. The two are madly in love and get married a little later. A year later, however, they roll over the pavers fighting.

What follows is a painful divorce with a lot of incidents and complaints to the police. Sarafian accuses her ex of theft, including of a painting, of harassment, deliberate blows and injuries, honor robbery and destruction. De Moor countered, saying that Sarafian tried to strangle him in a drunken state and that he answered her once in legal self-defense with the flat hand. There is also a ban on contact, and the police have to intervene several times.

Sarafian catches bone

Entrepreneur De Moor, manager of coffee shops in Ghent, left the whole hoople, eagerly spread out in the books, in his own words a depression. “Getting married was the biggest mistake of my life,” he said. However, Sarafian wanted to go to criminal and came up with a series of emails, chat conversations and anonymous witnesses to back up her version of the facts. However, the Ghent council chamber saw too few impartial indications of guilt or in particular saw the facts of alleged theft being barred.

Sarafian appealed, but now also catches bluntly for the Ghent Chamber of Indictment. There will be no lawsuit and Sarafian will have to pay for the court costs, about 1,500 euros.
