Miša Maiskis was born in Riga and is considered one of today’s greatest cellists. As one of the German gramophone artists Maiskis has recorded more than 35 albums with ensembles such as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic and others.
