Europe denies entry to US travelers, 16 states slow reopening and the country registers more than 41,000 cases in 24 hours | Univision Health News

▶ ️ The European Union will open its borders to visitors from 15 countries starting tomorrow, Wednesday, but not to travelers from the United States, Brazil or Russia.

▶ ️ At least 16 states have curbed or reversed their reopening plans in response to the increase in new coronavirus infections. In this context, some health officials quoted by national media say that the spread of the virus will continue to be difficult to control.

▶ ️ Arizona is one of the hardest hit. Republican Governor Doug Ducey ordered bars, gyms, and other venues closed again for at least the next 30 days. It also ordered public schools to delay the start of classes until at least August 17. Arizona reported a record of more than 3,800 confirmed cases on Sunday.

▶ ️ Anthony Fauci expressed cautious optimism that there will be a vaccine in early 2021, but warned that the United States would not achieve a collective immunity if a part of society refuses to receive it.
