Now, a new report suggests that Musk’s behavior towards people who came to visit him at Twitter headquarters was bizarre.
According to a report from the Washington Post and reported by Business Insider, Musk often makes visitors to Twitter headquarters wait for hours to be found. Although the new Twitter boss is in the office, Musk makes visitors who know him wait more than an hour to talk to him.
Now, what’s even weirder is that Musk sometimes watches YouTube videos during meetings. The report suggests that visitors who meet Musk have to wait in a 10th-floor conference room at Twitter headquarters and are often told not to speak before Musk does.
Musk and the way he handles Twitter
Musk’s behavior and the way Twitter is handled have been heavily criticized. From firing employees without notice to forcing them to work around the clock to build Twitter 2.0, the billionaire hasn’t been polished since he bought Twitter for $44 billion in October.
As days go by, Musk is making Twitter a tougher place to work for employees. The millionaire fired employees at random. In fact, there have been times when Musk has fired some people for questioning his decision. When Musk publicly fired a Twitter employee on the microblogging platform, the billionaire seemed proud of his decision. Earlier reports revealed that Musk fired employees who spoke out against him and his decisions in Slack’s internal groups.
Since the acquisition, Musk has cut many employee benefits, including free meals, to save costs. Not only that, but also a billionaire. Offers Kitchen appliances, chairs and tables and many other items are currently at Twitter headquarters.
The new Twitter boss also scrapped the remote work policy introduced by then-CEO Jack Dorsey during the pandemic. Musk, like the rule followed by Tesla and SpaceX, requires all employees to return to the office, and those who are unwilling to do so can leave the company.
