During a press conference, a Reuters journalist asked NASA Director James Brydenstein and Elon Mask the question of whether they had already received a Russian reaction to the SpaceX launch.
Brydenstein said that he had not yet spoken personally with Dmitry Rogozin, however, he had been seen by an official comment Congratulations to NASA and SpaceX.
“The trampoline is working (Trampoline is working)!” Musk said, after which he laughed with Bridenstein. Musk added that “this is an internal joke.”

In 2014, Dmitry Rogozin, who was then deputy prime minister and oversaw the space rocket industry, tweeted that Russia could refuse to deliver American astronauts to the ISS. “After analyzing the sanctions against our space industry, I propose the United States to deliver its astronauts to the ISS using a trampoline,” – joked Rogozin.
In response to this Musk then wrotethat they “don’t need a trampoline” because SpaceX is developing a new spacecraft for NASA.
On the eve of the launch of the spacecraft Crew Dragon to the ISS. This was the first case in nine years when an American ship delivered the American astronauts to the ISS. In addition, this is the first ever cosmonaut flight in a private company ship.
