Edition Thionville – Hayange | Parks, cultural places: reopening dates

Phase 2 of the deconfinement begins in the second city of Moselle. No more silence that reigned supreme for weeks in the municipal buildings of the city.

The municipality is adapting the reopening of all of its heritage in connection with announcements from the Government. With, as breadcrumb, the decree of May 16 taken by Pierre Cuny, imposing the compulsory wearing of a mask. The return to potential normalcy is being made gradually, backed by the implementation of a health protocol, which will be amended during the last week of June.

Parks and gardens

Here we are ! Since Saturday May 30, the gates are unleashed. No way to rush in mass here at the usual times. In town hall, we talk about leaning on each other’s responsibility. No groups of more than a dozen people, and of course with respect for the barrier gestures, masked, it goes without saying.

Cultural establishments

As of Tuesday, June 2, the Tour aux Puces Museum, the LED, community facilities, the Municipal Archives and Espace Raymond-Queneau will welcome those who open their doors. Tuesday, June 23 will follow the La Scala and Puzzle cinema. Here too, measures are observed to guarantee health security. As for the municipal theater, the Adagio and the municipal conservatory, you will have to wait until September.

Sports establishments

Planned for September, work on the community aquatic center (upgrading to standards, tiling, showers, etc.) is advanced in June. What to consider reopening “in optimal sanitary conditions” on July 2.

Regarding municipal stadiums and gymnasiums, the deadline of June 2 has been set. Their occupations will be reserved for exclusively associative use and after establishment of an organization by associations and city departments. For the moment, no so-called contact sports.

The other sites

Let’s take a closer look at the Espace Saint-Nicolas, where seniors will be able to eat from June 9, with measures of distancing, of course. The site courtyard will be used.

In mid-July, the Thionvillois and the inhabitants of northern Moselle will be able to book municipal rooms, always in compliance with the health protocol implemented by the City.

Finally, the Youth Information Point (corner of rue de Paris, rue Neuve) will spend the summer closed, with its sights set on its reopening in September.

The last word for Rive en fête. Its lightened 2020 cuvée is maintained. The summer event, where snacking and games for children will be privileged, will start on July 16 and will last until August 31.
