A mother committed infanticide in Hantes-Whieries. Two of her children, 22 months and 7 years old, died and the third, 8 years old, is in serious condition. The mother is also between life and death.
An infanticide occurred in Hantes-Whieries, in the entity of Erquelinnes. According to our information, a woman killed two of her three children. The third is between life and death, just like the mother. “There was indeed an infanticide, a 22-month-old baby and a 7-year-old girl died”, confirmed the bourgmestre of the locality, David Lavaux, live in the RTLINFO at 7 p.m.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy. “The father went home and found the children and their mother in this state. He was the one who called for help”, added the bourgmestre, who said around 6:15 p.m. that emergency services were trying to save the life of the third child and the mother.
The father is supported by the local police victim assistance unit. The police and emergency services will be taken care of by a psychological cell. Pupils in the children’s class will also receive psychological support.
