COVID-19: The North Shore is 123 cases

According to the latest public health data from the Côte-Nord Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS), the region is now at 123 cases of COVID-19 infection on its territory.

With the three cases reported Thursday at the Scierie des Outardes de Pointe-aux-Outardes, the region should in theory have recorded 124 cases, but everything suggests that one of the three infected people does not live on the North Shore. It is probably for this reason that the case is not counted in the regional balance sheet.

We will know more about this Friday afternoon, while the CISSS will hold a press conference to take stock of the situation. The new cases reported in the MRC of Manicouagan are the first on this territory since April 7.

Breakdown by RCM :

  • Lower North Shore: 0
  • Caniapiscau : 0
  • Haute-Côte-Nord: 3
  • Manicouagan : 16
  • Minganie : 7
  • Sept-Rivières: 97

Number of cases cured : 118 (given on July 10, 2020)
