Ontario was the province that reported the most new infections, 165. This is the fourth consecutive day that the number of cases has dropped below 200.

The most populous province in the country has also recorded two new deaths, the lowest count since March 25. One of the dead people worked in the health network. A total of 2,682 Ontarians lost their fight against COVID-19 and 35,535 were affected by the disease.

In Quebec, the daily report posted a slight increase compared to the figures for the last few days, ie 89 cases. 19 additional deaths were announced on Friday, 12 of which occurred before June 25. Since the start of the health crisis, 55,682 Quebecers have been infected with the virus, including 5,560 deaths.

These important figures from Ontario and Quebec mean that the Canadian balance sheet exceeded 105,000 infections on Friday, the country also counting 8,663 loss of life.

“Individual behaviors can either encourage the spread of the virus or prevent it. We all need to consider our own level of risk and make informed decisions, “said the Dr Howard Njoo of Public Health Canada, recalling that you must maintain physical distance from others, wash your hands regularly and wear a face covering in public places.
