The number of people who died from Coronavirus in France on Saturday rose to 13,832, but the number of patients receiving treatment in intensive care facilities decreased for the third day in a row, which raised hopes that the general isolation measures applied in various parts of the country would limit the spread of the disease.
The Ministry of Health added that the number of people being treated in intensive care units decreased to 6,683 from 7,004 the previous day.
The ministry said 353 people died in hospitals, while 290 died in nursing homes.
The number of dead people had jumped yesterday, Friday, with 987 deaths, and this resulted in an increase in the number of deaths in nursing homes.
According to Reuters statistics based on new data announced by the Ministry of Health, the number of confirmed and suspected cases in France has so far, taking into account the numbers of elderly homes, 118,479 as of Saturday.
