The Coquimbo region reports 89 new cases of coronavirus in the last report of the Ministry of Health (Minsal), overcoming the barrier of three thousand infections since the pandemic arrived in Chile.
In detail, 55 presented symptoms, 05 would be asymptomatic and 29 have not been reported in the Epivigilia system. Thus, the area totals 3,050 people affected by the virus.
Regarding the breakdown by commune, the Health Department, Alejandro García, indicated that the patients correspond to Coquimbo (30), La Serena (13), Ovalle (11), Illapel (02), Canela (01), Los Vilos (01 ), Punitaqui (01) and one from another region.
Meanwhile, he noted that to date there are 815 active people with the virus, of which 81 remain hospitalized and 35 connected to mechanical ventilation.
