Champions League Drawing, Profile of 4 Teams Who Passed to Quarter Final Page all

KOMPAS.comThe Champions League just completed the quarter-final draw.

But so far, only four new teams have passed. The four teams that have made sure to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League are RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint Germain ( PSG), and Atalanta will meet each other.

RB Leipzig will face Atletico Madrid, while PSG against Atalanta.

The match between Altetico Madrid vs RB Leipzig is worth the wait because the two teams will meet for the first time in the Champions League.

Both also have unique stories when they were able to subvert each of the Champions League finalists last season.

RB Leipzi successfully passed through the quarter-finals after frustrating Tottenham Hotspur with a 4-0 aggregate. While Atletico Madrid got rid of Liverpool with a 4-2 aggregate.

Leipzig certainly brings the spirit of a burning young soul. Julian Nagelsman as the club captain was the youngest coach ever to appear in the Champions League.

But Leipzig needs to be vigilant with Atletico who have a slick record of getting rid of German representatives 8 times in the knockout round.

Then there is a fight between PSG vs Atalanta which for some observers assessed the strength of the two clubs as earth and sky.

Just like the Atletico Madrid vs RB Leipzig match, the two teams also met for the first time in the Champions League.

The inequality of these two forces is not without basis, PSG came as the French League champion 7 times in a row. While Atalanta is considered a dark horse this season.

But Atalanta cannot be underestimated for being able to get rid of Valencia in the last 16 with an 8-4 aggregate.

While PSG had to struggle to overcome the resistance Borussia Dortmund before finally winning with a thin 3-2 aggregate.

The main attackers of the two clubs also compete about the sharpness in front of the opponent’s goal.

Atalanta will rely on Josip Ilicic, who has scored a goal this season in the Champions League.

Interestingly, Ilicic scored 4 goals in just one match when Atalanta met Valencia in the second leg.

Josip Ilicic will later compete sharply with PSG’s aging aging duo, Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe, who each packed 5 goals.

Meanwhile, the Champions League quarter-finals will be held on August 12-15 and centered in the city of Lisbon, Portugal.

Here’s a brief profile of 4 finalists who have already qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals:
