Case of abuse to death of Dini Sera Afrianti (27) by her boyfriend Gregorius Ronald Tannur is in the spotlight. The famous lawyer Hotman Paris also commented.
In this case, Ronald reported that Dini died due to stomach acid. Ronald made a false report.
Surabaya Police Chief Commissioner Pasma Royce said that Ronald Tannur and Dini had karaoke and drank alcohol at Blackhole KTV, Surabaya, Tuesday (3/8). Ronald and Dini initially ate at GWalk Citraland Surabaya and then were invited by Ronald’s friends to Blackhole KTV.
They came to the karaoke place at Lenmarc Mall and joined Ronald’s friend in one of the rooms. “At around 21.32 WIB (Tuesday night), victims DSA and GR came to Room 7 while drinking alcohol,” said Kombes Pasma.
After several hours in the room, Ronald and Dini went home. A witness from Blackhole KTV security said they saw the two of them coming home while arguing, leading to sadistic abuse by Ronald. Pasma said the victim was then taken to RSU Dr Soetomo to receive help.
“Then, he was taken to Dr Soetomo Regional Hospital for medical treatment at the hospital, at 02.00 WIB, the victim was declared dead,” he said.
Lawyer Criticizes Hotman Paris
Hotman Paris had time to reveal the voice note containing his last statement Dini Sera Afrianti alias Andini (27) who was abused by her lover, Gregorius Ronald Tannur (31) to death. Dini’s attorney criticized the actions taken by Hotman Paris.
Hotman uploaded a voice note from Dini’s story on the Instagram reels @hotmanparisofficial. There is a screenshot of the device playing Dini’s voice note while telling her friend. However, the reels are no longer there.
In the recording, Dini’s voice sounded shaky. A woman’s voice can be heard crying. He told how sadistic Ronald was when he abused him.
Dini’s family attorney, Dimas Yemahura, believes that Hotman should not do this. According to Dimas, what must be done now is to respect the ongoing legal process and not add to the commotion that triggers speculation in society.
“Because one thing, can sharing it help the legal process of this case? As people who understand the law, we have to respect the legal process,” said Dimas when contacted by detikJatim, Saturday (7/10).
“Secondly, by spreading things like that, we know that there is an ITE law too, meaning that when data is distributed and causes a certain commotion, there is also a law and there are provisions,” he added.
Dimas also emphasized the issue of norms of propriety, code of conduct or ethics.
“We have to look at this problem clearly. What does that mean, we can’t just prioritize interests for the sake of sorry, this is to make it even worse, because we have a legal institution that is already in operation except if the police have not named a suspect, but this is the police have named a suspect ,” explained Dimas.
Dimas said it was possible that the voice note was already on Dini’s cellphone, which means it was evidence that investigators had. According to him, evidence of a criminal act cannot be used arbitrarily for personal gain.
“What does that mean, your finger is your tiger, yes maybe I’m still a junior in the legal field, according to them I still don’t agree with them, that’s okay but I believe in following the correct legal process first,” he added.
