FC Bayern apparently has to stretch further when trying to extend the contract with its professional David Alaba.
When asked whether the Munich team would take the eighth German championship earlier or expand his working paper, Alaba said in the ZDF sports studio: “I don’t know, but maybe the eighth German championship.”
The German record champions still need a maximum of three wins from five games for the 30th title. Negotiations with Alaba (27), whose contract runs until 2021, have been stalling for some time – it is probably about money. A move to another top league could also appeal to the Austrian international after ten professional years in Munich. FC Barcelona has always been interested.
With Sky after the 5-0 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf, Alaba answered in the affirmative whether he could imagine continuing to play at Bayern. There was no deadline for the talks, he emphasized, “it will surely show the next few weeks how things will go on.
