Did you try to plan the addition for the season without big races?
It wasn’t planned, it’s a big surprise for me. But I’m very happy that it came out for the season when racing is limited, the ranking for the Olympics is frozen and it’s hard to find motivation.
It’s been seven months since the birth of the translated Olympics in Tokyo. Will you catch her?
I believe it can be done. I researched the athletes for how long it took them to come back and found a few examples. I don’t think it will be difficult to return physically, but rather to put together that there will be one more of us. We are athletes, we can take turns in training. But maybe I paint it very positively.
Until last year, you combined top athletics with the study of architecture. Now that you are an engineer, you will also have to limit jogging. Aren’t you afraid of boredom?
A little yes. I’m addicted to running, I can’t run. It is clear that it will not work towards the end of pregnancy, but other feelings will probably overwhelm it. And I think I’ll find fun, I’ll definitely want to draw something so I don’t get out of it. I see the future in this, running does not go on indefinitely.
How do you and your partner look forward to the role of parents?
I like children, but I couldn’t imagine that I would suddenly stop running, so I’m glad the decision was gone. Maybe I’ll be a good mom, but I think Filip will be a better dad. He is strict, our dog listens to him more. He has already chosen a pram and a stretcher and I have nothing until I’m nervous about it. ‘
Is a wedding also planned?
We agreed that I do not want to get married pregnant and the rest is not up to me anymore… (smile)
