At least 78 bicycles were stolen last week

In the first six days of this week, at least 78 bicycles have been stolen in Latvia, according to the statistics of the State Police (VP) compiled by the agency LETA.

The highest number or 19 bicycle thefts were registered on Monday, but the lowest – on Tuesday, when the police received information about seven stolen bicycles.

The Lion’s Court or 62 of all 78 bicycle thefts recorded this week have been registered in the Riga region, while only six bicycles have been stolen in Kurzeme, four in Latgale and Vidzeme, and two in Zemgale.

This week, 13 car thefts and 37 thefts from homes have also been registered in Latvia, according to the VP statistics compiled by the agency LETA.
