Apple expands its suite of tools to help businesses get closer to their customers
With Apple Business Connect, businesses of all sizes, whether they have a physical location or not, can create a brand that will be seen by more than 1 billion Apple users
For the first time, businesses of all sizes around the world, including those without a physical location, can manage how they are presented to more than 1 billion Apple users with Apple Business Connect. All verified businesses can now create a consistent brand identity and physical presence in the apps customers use every day, like Maps, Maps, and Mail.
“We’re excited to be able to offer all businesses, including those without a physical location, the opportunity to create a brand that will appear in the Apple apps that more than a billion people use every day,” said David Dorn, Senior Director of Internet Software and Services Product at Apple. “We created Business Connect to enable businesses to provide relevant, detailed information about themselves to Apple users. Thanks to these new features, we are helping even more professionals to make themselves known to new people, to establish a relationship of trust with them, and to develop. »
Tools to help all businesses grow
Since last year, businesses have been able to claim and manage their business location listing through Business Connect, for example by adding and updating their photos, offering customers actions like ordering a meal or making a reservation directly from the location card, or by presenting special promotions.
Now all businesses, including those that offer services or operate entirely online without a physical location, can register on Business Connect to create their brand’s visual identity to connect with their customers and establish with them a relationship of trust.
New Business Connect features
With new features integrated into Business Connect, registered businesses can display their brand in the Mail and Phone apps, and customize their logo in Tap to Pay on iPhone.
The Branded Mail feature allows them to display their brand name and logo in emails sent to customers, making them more visible and identifiable in the Mail app. Businesses can sign up for Branded Mail today to have their logo appear in emails before the end of the year.
Additionally, businesses can now choose to display their logo rather than a category icon when accepting payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone. Customers are thus assured of making a purchase from a reliable and verified company.
Next year, they will also be able to sign up for a caller ID in their company name. The company name, logo and relevant department will be displayed on the incoming call screen with every call made to customers, helping customers distinguish calls from verified companies from spam calls and other unsolicited contacts.
How to register
Virtual, online and service business owners can now use their existing Apple account, or create a new one, to sign up for Business Connect on the self-service website from a smartphone, tablet, computer desktop or laptop. Once the company is registered, it will be possible to personalize the brand for free. Businesses can also manage their physical presence at scale through SEO management agencies such as Reputation, DAC Group, Rio SEO, SOCi, Uberall and Yext.
