Apple asks iPhone users what to do with the AC adapter

Apple regularly sends surveys to its customers on all kinds of subjects, but a very recent survey sheds light on the flying rumor that there will no longer be an AC adapter in the iPhone 12 box. Ming-Chi Kuo and Barclays analysts added thatApple will also save EarPods.

This survey was sent to iPhone users who recently purchased a new model. Apple’s question is about the fate of the old smartphone’s power adapter. The proposed responses are as follows:

  • I sold or traded it with my iPhone
  • I lost it
  • I gave it to a family member or friend
  • I always use it at home
  • I always use it elsewhere (at work, school or other places)
  • I still have it but I don’t use it.

Depending on the users, other answers are also proposed:

  • I recycled it
  • I lost it
  • It no longer works or does not work well

This survey neither confirms nor denies the absence of a mains charger with the future iPhone. Apple could also ignore the answers, or instead rely on them to validate its theory. However, it is interesting to note that the manufacturer is currently interested in this subject, which is probably not innocent.
