Salovaara continues his update by stating that health concerns were not the only major challenge he is going through in his life at the moment.
– I calculated that at the moment there are half a dozen such big pitfalls that someone could have already fallen into one of them. And I’ve never been on a bridge like this before either, but that’s how life is. I believe that life hits you first with a hammer, then with a mallet, and finally hits you really hard if you don’t live the way you should.
Salovaara says that he does his best to approach his adversity as a learning experience.
– My life has to change. I’m burning the candle at both ends and at such a pace that I have to break the promise to my children that dad will live in good health until at least 100 years old, he says.
Found in time
Salovaara told about his suspected cancer in an Instagram update he published at the beginning of February.
– I was diagnosed with suspected cancer about a week ago and the doctor promised that it would come true with a 70 percent probability. Fortunately, he also reminded me of the remaining percentages that there is a lot on that side as well, Salovaara writes in his post.
– As a sensitive person, I still succumbed to cancer somewhere. Despite that, only 10-15 percent of those who get sick from the proposed type of cancer die, he continues.
After a few days, however, the doctor had called to say that the matter had been noticed in time enough and there was nothing to worry about.
Salovaara started his radio career in 1999 through Radiomafia. Since then, he has worked at, among others, Kiss FM, Radio Nova, Yle Oulu Radio, Radio Suomipop and Radio Aalto. In addition, he has worked as a presenter, among other things Julkvist– in the quiz show.
