He died Monday of natural causes in his Beverly Hills home, the family said.
Reiner worked as a director, producer, screenwriter and actor in the American entertainment industry for seven decades.
He was perhaps best known for creating the classic sitcom series “The Dick Van Dyke Show” which made great success on American screens in the 1960s and then in countless reprises.
As an actor, he starred in the three crime comedies “Ocean’s Eleven”, “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen” in the role of Saul Bloom, in addition to a number of other films. After passing 90 years, he was one of the voice in “Toy Story 4”.
In his later years he used to joke that he got up every morning, read the obituaries in the newspaper, and if he did not see his name there, went to have breakfast.
