A second clinic designated COVID-19 in Quebec | COVID-19 | News | The sun

Assessment in the Quebec region

Two adult residents of the Capitale-Nationale who have traveled to Europe have indeed contracted the virus, confirmed the Dr François Desbiens, regional director of public health at the CIUSSS.

Two other adults from outside the region were also diagnosed with COVID-19. They stayed on our territory during their contagion period, after having traveled to the United States and Europe.

“Currently, the four infected people are in isolation and are not hospitalized. All the people identified as close contacts have been reached and are currently in solitary confinement at their home, “said Dr Goods.

Samples were taken from these “contact” people who presented with symptoms and the results should be announced in the coming days, if they prove positive.

“Given the current situation, I reiterate the importance of 14-day isolation for anyone who has stayed outside of Canada,” he added.

Recall that a case was declared in Lévis Thursday. The person contracted COVID-19 during a cruise in the Caribbean, confirmed the CISSS of Chaudière-Appalaches. At the time of this writing, two other cases had tested positive, bringing the total to three in this region.
