69-year-old Canta driver died after collision in Amstelveen

The driver of a Canta died in hospital on Thursday after crashing into a stationary car with his vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.

That collision took place on the Burgermeester Rijnderslaan in Amstelveen. Around 12.35 the 69-year-old man collided with a stationary black Skoda on the back. The 50-year-old driver of this car stopped in front of a traffic light and was not injured.

The driver of the microcar was transferred to the hospital after the collision, where he died the following day. Police are calling on witnesses to report the accident.
